With archery and crossbow deer seasons in full swing, now is the perfect time to make your plans for chronic wasting disease (CWD) sampling and carcass disposal to help slow the spread of CWD.
Four Ways To Have Your Deer Tested, One Easy Online Form
Submitting a deer sample for CWD testing is free and available around the state. These samples provide us with valuable information about CWD distribution and let you know the status of your deer.
There are four ways to conveniently test your deer for CWD this fall:
At a 24/7 self-service kiosk.
In-person drop-off at one of our sampling partners.
At-home lymph node extraction (we have the instructions).
By appointment with your local DNR staff.
Visit our CWD sampling webpage to find your nearest option.
Remember, you can save time by using our online CWD reporting form. The form automatically fills in the details, like name and harvest authorization, and provides an interactive map to pin exactly where you harvested your deer. You can find the form in your Go Wild harvest history after registering your deer.
